# Engineering Partner

Senior engineering help when the work needs judgment, not just throughput.

I help teams ship, stabilize, and make better technical decisions. I use AI where it speeds up the work, but the responsibility stays human: architecture, code review, tests, privacy boundaries, and handoff still matter.

## Useful when

- You need senior IC capacity without a full-time hire.
- You have a product surface that needs cleanup, stabilization, or sharper architecture.
- Your team is moving fast and needs someone who can find the next safe step.
- You want AI-assisted delivery without losing engineering ownership.
- You need someone who can talk to engineers, operators, and nontechnical stakeholders without flattening the problem.

## How I work

- Diagnose before prescribing.
- Keep implementation tied to the business workflow.
- Separate hand-written, architected, and AI-accelerated work clearly.
- Prefer readable code, tests, and small reviewable changes.
- Leave behind systems your team can understand and own.

## Possible shapes

- Fractional AI / engineering partner retainer.
- Senior IC contract.
- Technical audit and stabilization sprint.
- AI-assisted delivery process review.
- Handoff and codebase readiness review.

If the work is ambiguous, cross-functional, or technically messy, that is usually where I am most useful.

## Not a fit

This is probably not a fit if you want cheap task execution with no context, generic AI coaching, or someone to add tools before the underlying workflow and ownership are clear.
